WelcomeHOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SEND A CHILD IN THE PHILIPPINES TO SCHOOL? ONLY FORTY US DOLLARS ($40) A YEAR!IN THE PHILIPPINES, thousands of children don't go to school because of poverty. Parents cannot afford the forty (40) US dollars it costs to send a child to school per year. Tsinelas helps poor children stay in school by spending for their basic educational needs, like uniforms, school supplies, school fees. Tsinelas gives workshops and seminars to help kids develop their potentials. Tsinelas builds reading centers and holds story telling sessions for the children. Tsinelas cannot do it alone. Tsinelas ties up with SMART, Sun.Star Proposed reading program in Tuburan, Cebu. SMART, Sun.Star Cebu and Tsinelas visited the Colonia Central School in Tuburan, Cebu last Jan. 26 to conduct ocular survey of the school and discuss with faculty plans to implement a reading program for the kids there.
February 15, 2010 ‘Adobo’ in a reading center The Bisdaks like Maria Cacao, Leon Kilat, Carmen Rubia and Kan the agta arrived at the school with us and were welcomed with a special place in the reading center.
THEIR BOOKS The success of Their Books made Tsinelas one of the best youth organizations in the Visayas in the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) Awards 2009. Tsinelas represented the Visayas in the TAYO national finals in Manila that same year. Award-winning writer Januar Yap shares his thoughts about the event. 
A letter to TsinelasYowee Gonzales is a volunteer and project coordinator of Tsinelas and defended the organization in the 2009 Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) competition. Tsinelas won in the Visayas finals and went on to represent the region in the national finals. Here, Yowee writes a letter to Tsinelas, which she fondly calls "Chinny," expressing her gratitude for being part of the organization.

Art as therapy
Tsinelas is finalizing plans for an art workshop to be held this summer. The workshop will be a tie-up with Beyond Art’s Sake, a group of visual artists that assists non-government organizations in their projects.
