WelcomeHOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SEND A CHILD IN THE PHILIPPINES TO SCHOOL? ONLY FORTY US DOLLARS ($40) A YEAR!IN THE PHILIPPINES, thousands of children don't go to school because of poverty. Parents cannot afford the forty (40) US dollars it costs to send a child to school per year. Tsinelas helps poor children stay in school by spending for their basic educational needs, like uniforms, school supplies, school fees. Tsinelas gives workshops and seminars to help kids develop their potentials. Tsinelas builds reading centers and holds story telling sessions for the children. Tsinelas cannot do it alone. THEIR BOOKS The success of Their Books made Tsinelas one of the best youth organizations in the Visayas in the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) Awards 2009. Tsinelas represented the Visayas in the TAYO national finals in Manila that same year. Award-winning writer Januar Yap shares his thoughts about the event.

Art as therapy
Tsinelas is finalizing plans for an art workshop to be held this summer. The workshop will be a tie-up with Beyond Art’s Sake, a group of visual artists that assists non-government organizations in their projects.
